On December 13, 2023, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3000 block of S. Westmoreland Road in Oak Cliff. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men with gunshot wounds in the parking lot.
One of the victims succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The other man was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting actually took place in the 3000 block of Spruce Valley Lane, near where the victims were initially discovered by officers.
The identity of the deceased victim remains unknown, and it will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office as the investigation continues.
