On Thursday, December 21, 2023, around 7:05 PM, two females slid off the southbound roadway from DFW Airport, International Parkway, going east on Hwy 183. Their vehicle got stuck in mud, prompting them to call a tow truck.
While waiting on the roadside, a Toyota Tundra pickup ran off the road, striking both females. 57-year-old Susan Simmons was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Toyota Tundra pickup left the scene without stopping and is reported to be missing the driver’s side rearview mirror.
Fort Worth Police Investigators are seeking information on the accident and ask anyone with details to call 817-392-4884.
