On December 27, 2023, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident in the 9500 block of Scyene Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Jamarcus Irving and another individual with gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt response from Dallas Fire-Rescue, Irving succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries as well.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both Irving and the second victim were shot by unidentified suspects who fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
The identity of the second victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
As authorities continue their investigation into this double homicide, the case has been assigned the number 230709-2023.
