On December 9, 2023, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Dallas Police swiftly responded to a distress call in the 100 block of Polk Street. The caller reported an assault on 60-year-old Ira Lollis by unidentified assailants.
Upon arrival, Dallas Fire-Rescue was summoned to the scene and promptly transported Mr. Lollis to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Tragically, on December 27, 2023, Ira Lollis succumbed to the injuries sustained during the assault.
The incident is currently under investigation, with the case being officially documented under the reference number 218497-2023. Dallas Police urge anyone with pertinent information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
