In the early hours of Sunday, December 31, 2023, the Arlington Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of W. Sublett Road in South Arlington.
At approximately 2:04 am, officers arrived to find a 37-year-old male driver unresponsive inside his vehicle. Despite immediate efforts, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver was traveling westbound along Sublett Rd when he lost control of his vehicle. The car veered partially off the roadway, colliding with a tree. The impact redirected the vehicle into several residential fences, a utility pole, and ultimately a concrete pillar.
No other individuals were found inside the vehicle, and there have been no reports of additional injuries related to the incident.
Investigators are considering speed as a potential factor in the crash, highlighting the importance of exercising caution on the roads.
