On December 30, 2023, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident at the Maderas Apartments in the 440 block of S. St. Augustine Drive in Pleasant Grove, near CF Hawn Fwy (175).
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, 24-year-old Juvenal Antero, had sustained gunshot wounds at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects forcibly entered the apartment and shot Antero before fleeing from the location.
Dallas Fire Rescue arrived and transported Antero to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:17 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing, and it will be documented under case number 232551-2023.
