Dallas Shooting on Harry Hines Blvd in Victory Park: 14-Year-Old Dead, Another Hospitalized; 16-Year-Old Arrested

On December 29, 2023, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident in the 3100 block of Harry Hines Blvd in Victory Park area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two teenagers who had sustained gunshot wounds at the scene. Both victims were transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) for medical attention.

On December 31, 2023, the life of a 14-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The second victim, also a 14-year-old male, is expected to survive his injuries.

The 16-year-old male suspected of the shooting was arrested on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. However, authorities have decided to upgrade one of the Aggravated Assault charges to Manslaughter.

In consideration of the tender ages of the involved teens, their identities are being withheld.

The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 231727-2023.
