Dallas Police Investigate Series of Burglaries by Suspects Posing as Businesses

The Dallas Police Department is currently investigating two recent burglaries where suspects are reportedly posing as businesses to distract victims and steal property.

The first incident occurred on December 13, 2023, at approximately 5:15 pm in the 4500 block of Northhaven Road. According to preliminary investigations, the victim engaged with a male suspect who presented himself as a representative of a business. Meanwhile, another male suspect entered the residence and absconded with property without consent.

The second incident took place on December 30, 2023, around 10:30 pm, in the 9200 block of Westpark Drive. Similar to the first case, the victim was engaged in conversation with a male suspect when another individual entered the home and seized property without authorization. Notably, surveillance photos captured the suspects in action, leaving the location in a newer model black Chevrolet.

If you feel you are a victim of a scam or of a crime, you are asked to contact your local law enforcement agency.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects or either case is asked to contact Detective Cade Mullins at 214-670-7735 or cade.mullins@dallaspolice.gov.

The investigations are ongoing and documented under case numbers 221224-2023 (Northhaven) and 232795-2023 (Westpark).
