On January 10, 2024, at approximately 2:35 p.m., emergency services from Dallas Police and Fire Rescue rushed to the scene of an accident in the 6300 block of Bonnie View Road in southeast Dallas.
According to the preliminary investigation, a pickup truck was heading southbound on Bonnie View Road when a car, traveling eastbound on Judge Dupree Drive, turned northbound onto Bonnie View Road, directly in the path of the oncoming pickup truck. The collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the car, 60-year-old Teresa Lynn Griffin, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
In contrast, the driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries but was reported to be in stable condition. Emergency responders promptly transported the pickup truck driver to a local hospital for further medical attention.
The incident is currently under investigation.
