In response to a call for service at approximately 4:15 p.m. on January 11, 2024, Dallas Police arrived at a residence in the 5100 block of Verde Valley Lane in Far North Dallas. The officers discovered the lifeless body of 34-year-old Cody Ward inside the residence.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Cody Ward's death was a result of homicidal violence. As of now, the identity of the suspect(s) remains unknown, and they had left the scene before officers arrived.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 0005941-2024.
