On the evening of January 20, 2024, at approximately 7:30 PM, Garland Police Officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Running River Road following reports of a Disturbance with a Weapon.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an individual outside the residence who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 33-year-old Rontarious Hamilton, was promptly transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, Hamilton was later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a disturbance between neighbors escalated into gunfire. The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Isaiah Kellough, was located and subsequently arrested by officers on the scene.
Isaiah Kellough is currently held at the Garland Detention Center and is charged with Murder. As of now, no bond has been set. The case remains under investigation.
