On Friday, January 26th, at approximately 11:00 am, North Richland Hills Police officers engaged in a foot pursuit, successfully apprehending a 48-year-old man from Fort Worth.
The chase ensued after the individual allegedly stole from a store in the vicinity of Loop 820 and Rufe Snow Dr. Following reports of the suspect on the run, officers pursued him through a parking lot. As he approached the freeway, law enforcement decided to establish a perimeter.
Unexpectedly, the man evaded the perimeter, darting across the service road and onto the freeway, resulting in a three-vehicle crash. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the collision. Subsequently, officers located the suspect in a nearby neighborhood.
The 48-year-old individual now faces charges of Theft, Criminal Trespass, and Evading.
