The Denton Police Department is reaching out to the public for information as detectives probe into the suspicious death of a woman. Responding to an unconscious person call on Wednesday, January 17th, officers discovered the lifeless body of a woman in the shed of an unoccupied house in the 900 block of Monterey Drive in North Denton.
In light of evidence found at the scene, detectives and forensics personnel have been deployed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased as 44-year-old Melonie Frye. As of now, the cause and manner of her death remain undetermined. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
