On Thursday, January 25, 2024, a Denton County jury convicted 46-year-old Noel Amador-Castillo of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. The same jury later sentenced him to 35 years in prison. Amador-Castillo had been arrested for the crime on June 7, 2022.
ADAs Lauren Marshall, Paul Hiemke, and Michelle Lowery presented the State's case during the trial, with assistance from Investigator Richard Duggan and Victim Liaison Amber Dunn. The investigation involved collaboration between the Hickory Creek, Denton, and Lewisville police departments.
