On January 28, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Dallas Police were called to the 3200 block of Maryland Avenue near E. Kiest Blvd in Cedar Crest in response to a shooting incident.
The preliminary investigation revealed that 36-year-old David Johnson was shot at the location by an unknown suspect. The suspects fled the scene.
David Johnson was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
This investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 015320-2024.
