Three Suspects Apprehended in Aggravated Robbery Case in Killeen

Christopher Simpson, Jaquention Simmons Powell and Dezmond Anderson

Detectives from the Killeen Police Department Criminal Investigations Division Robbery-Homicide Unit have identified and apprehended three suspects involved in the Aggravated Robbery of a business that occurred on January 16th, 2024, in the 5800 block of S. WS Young Dr.

The suspects have been identified as Dezmond Anderson (24 Years Old), Jaquention Simmons Powell (34 Years Old), and Christopher Simpson (21 Years Old). Following a review of the case with the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, three complaints for Aggravated Robbery were issued.

Arrest warrants for Aggravated Robbery were obtained for all three suspects, with Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson issuing the warrants.

Dezmond Anderson was already in custody at the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges on January 31st, 2024, when his warrant was served. Justice of the Peace Keith Reid set Anderson's bond at $100,000.

On February 20th, 2024, Jaquention Simmons Powell and Christopher Simpson were arrested without incident at their residence. Both suspects were taken to the Bell County Jail and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Keith Reid. Simmons Powell’s bond was set at $150,000, while Simpson’s bond was also set at $150,000.

The KPD Robbery-Homicide Unit expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in the case. They also extended thanks to the KPD Organized Crime Unit, KPD General Investigations Unit, the KPD SWAT Team, and the United States Marshals Service Lonestar Fugitive Task Force for their support in apprehending the suspects.
