Duncanville Police Safely Resolve Distressed Individual with Gun

 

On February 19, 2024, Duncanville Police officers responded to a call at Armstrong Park regarding a subject with a gun. Upon arrival, the individual indicated a desire to harm themselves, holding the gun to their head.

Officers evacuated bystanders from the vicinity and engaged with the distressed individual. Utilizing their training, officers maintained a calm dialogue, eventually persuading the individual to place the weapon on the ground.

This incident underscores the compassion and collaborative efforts of our officers in ensuring community safety.
