On Monday, February 26, 2024, at approximately 3:00 pm, Burleson Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the Oak Valley/Cardinal Ridge/Spring Hill area. The initial description provided indicated that the suspect was a black male wearing a black hoodie and a white mask.
In response, law enforcement established a perimeter and urged residents to remain indoors, secure their residences, and report any suspicious activity by dialing 911.
By 4:08 pm, officers successfully apprehended the suspect. Contrary to the initial description, it was discovered that the suspect was not a black male but rather a white individual. The apprehended individual was found wearing a black hoodie and a white mask as had been described.
Authorities have disclosed that the suspect is a juvenile.
The investigation is ongoing.
