At 9:43 A.M., Irving Police Dispatch received a phone call from the alarm company that monitors the Irving Comerica Bank located at 4901 N. Beltline Road. The alarm company reported that a bank robbery was in progress and that they were watching the robbery as it was taking place. They reported that three males were inside the bank, armed with handguns. In less than three minutes, officers were on-scene and saw the suspects fleeing the bank on foot.
Officers quickly set up a perimeter around the wooded area just south of the bank. A short time later all three suspects were taken into custody without incident. The weapons used by the suspects and the money stolen from the bank were recovered.
The suspects have been identified as Vuray Washington (23), Johnny Mack Standifer (24), and Harvey Lee Washington (26) all from Arlington. They have been charged with Aggravated Robbery and are currently being held at our jail awaiting transfer into the custody of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
