On April 19, 2024, at around 10:30 p.m., Plano Police Officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2300 block of Monticello Circle.
Upon arrival, they found a male victim inside the residence with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Plano Fire-Rescue pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The shooting suspect was not immediately found but was later apprehended.
The incident is believed to be related to domestic violence. With the suspect in custody, there are no current public safety concerns.
Names of those involved are withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating.
