Residents are invited to a free shredding event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9 at the drop-off recycling center located at 3000 Rock Island Road. Participants will be limited to two boxes per visit and proof of Irving residency may be required.
Shredding documents to safeguard from identity theft can be a costly service. City-sponsored shredding events provide residents with an opportunity to have sensitive documents properly destroyed at no cost. For more information, call (972) 721-8059.
