On May 15, 2024, at approximately 1:30 am, Dallas Police were called to respond to a shooting incident in the 4400 block of West Illinois Avenue in Oak Cliff. Upon arrival, officers discovered that 32-year-old Cesar Avalos had been shot outside a business in the area. Avalos was rushed to a nearby hospital by private vehicle but succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is currently underway and is being documented under case number 075471-2024. As of now, there is no information available regarding any suspects involved.
