On Saturday, May 18, 2024, at around 11:42 p.m., the Fort Worth Police Department responded to a significant accident at the North Freeway express lanes, near Northwest Highway 287.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two motorcycles had collided. One of the motorcyclists was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition.
Traffic detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident. Initially, all northbound toll lanes were closed due to the accident, but they have since been reopened.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once next of kin has been notified.
