On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at approximately 6:17 a.m., the Fort Worth Police Department responded to a major accident near Highway 360 Northbound at Trinity Blvd, close to DFW Airport.
The incident began as a two-vehicle accident. After the collision, the drivers of both vehicles exited their cars and were struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the oncoming vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
One of the motorists, identified as 37-year-old Silvano Ornelas Jr. of Arlington, TX, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorist was transported to a local hospital, and their condition remains unknown.
The Fort Worth Police Department's Traffic Investigation Unit is currently investigating the case.
