Grapevine Parks & Recreation Issues Lake Update for Memorial Day Weekend

Grapevine Parks & Recreation has issued an important update regarding Grapevine Lake ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. The lake is currently experiencing high water levels, measuring 9 feet over its normal pool level. Officials are urging caution for all visitors, highlighting the presence of underwater hazards that may not be visible.

As a safety measure, Meadowmere and Lakeview Park remain closed until further notice. However, two high-water boat ramps are operational for those planning to access the lake:

  1. Farris Branch - Located at 1999 Farris Branch Drive.
  2. Katie's Woods - Situated at 1899 Katie's Woods Loop.

Due to limited parking availability, officials have announced the opening of Minnow Loop exclusively for parking purposes this weekend.

It's strongly advised that all lake visitors wear life jackets and adhere to boater safety guidelines for their own protection. For further information on lake hazards and updates, individuals are encouraged to visit GoGrapevine.com/Updates.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!
