On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 01:50 a.m., South Division officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Hemphill Street following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male victim with apparent gunshot wounds in the 600 block of Anthony Street about a block from where they were intially dispatched to.
Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner, cause of death, and identity once the next-of-kin is notified.
