On June 7, 2024, at approximately 2:20 am, Dallas Police responded to a hit-and-run incident resulting in the death of a pedestrian in the 2800 block of W. Northwest Highway near Bachman Lake.
Preliminary investigations revealed that an unidentified woman and man were crossing W. Northwest Highway, east of Community Drive, outside of a crosswalk. As they reached the center median, a white Dodge Challenger traveling eastbound struck the woman. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping. The woman died at the scene, while the man remained uninjured.
The identity of the deceased woman will be confirmed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The suspect vehicle was noted to have no license plates.
