Shooter Targets Group in South Dallas, Leaving One Dead and Two Injured

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 7th, Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3400 block of S. Malcolm X Blvd in South Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 43-year-old Edward Wilson shot on the ground outside a vehicle. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other men were also shot. One was transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue, and the other by private vehicle to local hospitals. Both are reported to be in stable condition.

Preliminary investigations reveal an unknown suspect fired at the vehicle Wilson was sitting in when a group was gathered at the location. No suspect description is available at this time.
