On June 9, 2024, at approximately 8:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 7400 block of Mohawk Drive in the Love Field area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Marlon Sanchez Flores had been shot at the location. Sanchez Flores was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Through further investigation, police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Jose Guadalupe Soto Barcenas. An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Soto Barcenas, who is currently not in custody.
The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 089374-2024.
