The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating an auto-pedestrian collision that resulted in the death of a man.
On Sunday, June 9, 2024, at approximately 12:23 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of E Lancaster Ave. and Riverside Dr. in the Near East Side of Fort Worth. They found that the man had stepped out into traffic and was hit by a vehicle that had the green light.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased.
The Traffic Investigation Unit has been assigned to the case.
