On June 10, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Crowley Police Officers located a stolen vehicle from Benbrook in the 800 block of South Crowley Road, turning east onto East FM 1187. A motor vehicle stop was initiated, but the vehicle turned off East FM 1187 and stopped on Archbury.
The female occupant of the vehicle became uncooperative and fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued into Fort Worth, where multiple Fort Worth Police units and Air One assisted Crowley Officers. Fort Worth Police successfully deployed spike strips in an attempt to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop at a gas well site off Wilbarger near Lake Arlington. Crowley and Fort Worth Officers quickly took the suspect into custody without injury or further incident.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Skylar Long from Granbury, TX, is facing multiple charges, including Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Reckless Driving.
