On June 10, 2024, a Tarrant County Court accepted a plea deal in the case against 53-year-old Shawn Landers. According to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office, Landers pled guilty to two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 26 years in prison.
Landers sexually assaulted two young family members multiple times. One victim told investigators that the assaults happened almost every day for a few years. Landers also took inappropriate photographs of at least one of the minors.
