Hackberry Creek Country Club to participate in 4th Annual Clubcorp Charity Classic

Hackberry Creek Country Club, a member of the ClubCorp family of clubs, announced today that it will, on June 3rd, participate in the 2011 ClubCorp Charity Classic, ClubCorp’s major annual philanthropic open-house event. In 2010, the popular ClubCorp Charity Classic raised $1.5 million nationwide for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Augie’s Quest and other deserving charities.

Nieto is co-founder and former president of Life Fitness of Chicago, and chairman of Octane Fitness. He and his wife, Lynne, serve as co-chairpersons of MDA's ALS Division. Nieto received a diagnosis of ALS in March 2005, and Augie’s Quest has raised more than $27 million for ALS research.

 

Hackberry Creek Country Club cordially invites the public to attend its 2011 Charity Classic and Community Birthday Celebration. Members and guests may participate in the golf tournament for a $100 donation. This includes a box lunch, drink tickets, awards dinner, prizes, admittance to the family party, and a certificate to be redeemed for play at 12 local ClubCorp Clubs (including Stonebriar and Gleneagles). Those who do not wish to participate in the golf tournament are welcome to attend our family party for a $50 donation per family. This includes an afternoon DJ, pool games, tennis activities, family BBQ dinner, kids’ entertainment, crafts, bounce house and life band on the lawn after dinner. The golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 12pm. Family activities will begin at 3pm and continue until 11pm.

Since its inception in 2007, ClubCorp’s Charity Classic has raised nearly $6.5 million benefitting charities including MDA’s Augie’s Quest, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation.

This year, more than 130 golf and country clubs and business and sports clubs around the country will again open their courses and dining rooms to an estimated 16,000 members, guests, and patrons for tournaments, dining events, auctions, and social extravaganzas throughout the country.

    "Augie’s Quest," is an aggressive, cure-driven effort singularly focused on treatments and cures for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease).
    • ClubCorp’s Employee Partners Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.),
    a fund created to help ClubCorp’s employees and their families by providing financial assistance in times of crisis.

  • Make-A-Wish Foundationâ of North Texas,

  • an organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
