On June 16, 2024, White Settlement Police (WSPD) responded to a shooting at an apartment complex near S. Las Vegas Trail and Tumbleweed Trail. The incident stemmed from a physical altercation between two men, resulting in gunfire. Following an intensive investigation, Detective G. Ramirez identified the suspect and obtained warrants.
On Thursday, June 27, 2024, WSPD Chief Cook sought assistance from the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) to execute the arrest and search warrant. TCSO led the operation with WSPD providing perimeter support, leading to the suspect's arrest without incident.
"The collaboration between agencies was excellent," said Chief Cook. "Our priority is ensuring safety and accountability within our community."
Two firearms were recovered from the scene. Multiple divisions supported the investigation, including initial response efforts and subsequent warrant execution.
The suspect, wanted on multiple charges including criminal mischief, was transported to Tarrant County Jail.
