On Sunday, July 7, 2024, around 5:00 p.m., Roanoke officers responded to a domestic disturbance that evolved into a situation involving a suicidal individual in the 300 block of Sheri Lane. Upon arrival, the subject in distress had left the scene, prompting officers to secure the area and collaborate with family members to locate them.
Efforts were made to de-escalate the situation, ensuring the safety of all parties involved. Ultimately, the individual was successfully located and taken into custody. During the incident, the individual sustained a dog bite from a deployed K9 unit. Medical personnel promptly provided care, and the individual was transported to Medical City in Denton for further evaluation and treatment.
