On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 9:00 PM, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 9800 block of Bruton Road in Pleasant Grove. Upon arrival, officers discovered 44-year-old Keeman Bowens lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, but Bowens was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation identified the suspect as 25-year-old Ivanna Wells. Wells was arrested and charged with murder, with her bond set at $500,000.
