The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced that a jury found 42-year-old Oliver Evans guilty of Possession with Intent to Deliver and sentenced him to 30 years in prison.
On June 9, 2022, Fort Worth Police pulled over an Uber driver. During the stop, police discovered that the passenger, Evans, had an outstanding warrant. The driver permitted police to search the vehicle, leading to the discovery of 101 grams of methamphetamine. Evans admitted to police that he had picked up the drugs and intended to sell them to a woman at a motel.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Dani Wojciak and Matthew Jackson. The investigator was Caleb Blank.
