The City of Fort Worth has initiated repairs on the historic bricks of Main Street in downtown. The project includes lane closures and traffic disruptions. Street crews have completed repairs on the 900 and 800 blocks and are currently working on the northbound 700 block. Presently, they are focusing on the right lane and will shift to the left lane next week. After the northbound lanes are finished, work will progress to the southbound lanes of the 700 block. Weather permitting, the repairs on the 700 block are expected to be completed by August 19.
During these repairs, valet operations may be affected, similar to the disruptions experienced on the 800 block. Lane closures will be implemented as needed to ensure worker, pedestrian, and driver safety. The project is anticipated to continue for several months until all repairs are completed.
