On May 9, 2024, the Rhome Police Department issued a Most Wanted alert for Robert Hayden Bennett Winters, who had an active warrant for violating his bond on an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child charge. The bond was for $150,000 in Wise County.
This week, while working off duty at a Fort Worth hospital, Rhome Police Officer Aaron Soultaire spotted Winters entering the facility. Officer Soultaire attempted to contact Winters, who then fled the scene. Following a brief foot chase and with assistance from another off-duty officer, Winters was apprehended and transported to the Tarrant County jail.
