At approximately 5:45 PM on Monday, August 12th, Arlington Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Connolly Terrace in East Arlington following reports of shots fired.
While officers were en route, additional information indicated that the home was on fire.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult woman at a neighbor's house who appeared to have been grazed by a bullet. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officers also discovered an adult male suspect near the burning home. While rescuing him, one officer sustained minor burns and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The officer's condition is stable.
The suspect, who also suffered burn injuries, was transported to a hospital. His condition has not been disclosed.
Arlington firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but the house sustained significant damage.
The investigation remains ongoing.
