The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on the evening of August 13, 2024. The incident, which took place at approximately 6:11 p.m., resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man from Cedar Hill.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 30, near the exit for southbound State Highway 360. Upon arrival, officers found a Chevrolet Impala that had collided head-on with the concrete barrier separating I-30 westbound from SH-360 southbound. The driver of the vehicle, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that an unsafe lane change may have contributed to the crash. I-30 was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after confirmation and notification of the next of kin.
