On August 18, 2024, at approximately 1:35 AM, Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 8300 block of La Prada Drive in East Dallas. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were in a parking lot when an unidentified suspect opened fire. Dallas Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, where 40-year-old Stevie Gray was pronounced dead. The second victim sustained a grazing wound to the hand. The investigation is ongoing under case number 126266-2024.
