The Colony Police Department has announced the appointment of Chief Phillip Foxall as its new Chief of Police. This selection comes after a national search initiated earlier this year to find a new leader for the department.
Chief Foxall brings 27 years of combined police experience to the role, including a decade in command-level positions. He has served as the Assistant Chief of the Anna Police Department since 2021. Prior to this role, Chief Foxall retired from the Farmers Branch Police Department in 2021, where he held the rank of Lieutenant. His career with Farmers Branch PD began in 1996 as a Detention Officer, and he was later promoted to Patrol Officer in 2002.
Chief Foxall holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Mountain State University (closed in 2013).
