Darrell Hampton, 39, of Fort Worth, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the delivery of a controlled substance following his conviction by a Tarrant County jury. The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced the sentence, handed down by the court, following Hampton's April 2022 arrest.
On April 11, 2022, Fort Worth Police officers observed Hampton engaging in a drug transaction with another individual from his vehicle. Upon approach, officers discovered a bag containing oxycodone, black tar heroin, sandy heroin, and marijuana. The case was prosecuted by the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Narcotics Unit, resulting in the lengthy prison term for Hampton.
