On Monday, October 29, 2024, at approximately 6:41 a.m., Azle Police Officers responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian accident near the 500 Block of Boyd Road.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Ford F-150, occupied by one adult male, was merging onto Boyd Road from NE Parkway when it struck an adult female pedestrian who was crossing the road. The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported by medics to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner is expected to release the victim's name following notification of her next of kin.
The driver of the Ford F-150 remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. As of now, Azle Police do not anticipate any charges being filed against the driver.
