On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Abilene Criminal Investigations detectives obtained a First-Degree Murder warrant for 51-year-old Teddy Lee Mills, a security guard accused of shooting and killing an Abilene man. Mills was arrested and transported to the Taylor County Jail without incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 27, shortly after 2 a.m. at the Bravo Hookah Lounge, located at 706 N. 6th Street. During a private event, Mills allegedly shot 32-year-old Dayshaun Colen. Mills was employed by a private security company providing security for the event at the time of the shooting.
