Due to the high use of the dog park, the Parks and Recreation Department is continuing the monthly maintenance rotation of the front and rear pods.
For the safety of park visitors, staff will repair holes, improve the turf and make any other needed repairs. Once the repairs are made, the area needs to remain unused for a month for the soil to settle and the turf to re-establish.
The maintenance process will rotate throughout the year, so one group of pods will be open year-round. The Dog Park is located at the Irving Animal Care Campus at 4140 Valley View Lane. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. For more information, call (972) 721-2501.
