On Saturday, November 2, 2024, around 11:00 p.m., Plano Patrol Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue responded to a serious motorcycle crash in the 1700 Block of Mimosa Drive. The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old Plano resident, was found with severe injuries and transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed the rider was traveling on a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle when he collided with a parked car, causing him to be ejected from the motorcycle. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and speed is suspected as a contributing factor.
The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
