Irving’s 20th Annual Trinity Trash Bash is getting back to its roots Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon with a waterway and land-based cleanup along the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) is partnering with Kayak Power to provide kayaks, paddles, life vests and safety instruction for participants.
Individuals and groups are invited to sign up for the event, which will be held at T.W. Richardson Grove Park, 333 E. Interstate Highway 635. There’s limited space available for waterway volunteers. Once those slots have been assigned, volunteers will be registered for land cleanup. No personal watercraft will be allowed, and waterway volunteers must be age 15 years and older. There are no age restrictions for land cleanup.
KIB will supply litter pickers, vests, gloves and trash bags. Register at www.rockthegreen.org. Send an email to info@rockthegreen.org or call (972) 721-2175 for more information.
