The Frisco Police Department has arrested a suspect for murder following a fatal shooting on November 13, 2024.
At approximately 8:23 p.m., Frisco officers responded to reports of gunshots near the Walmart on the northeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423. The caller indicated that after hearing gunfire, one person had possibly been shot, and the suspect fled the scene in a gray sedan. Officers found 22-year-old Ja'Karrion Craig lying in the parking lot with chest and foot wounds. Despite efforts by law enforcement and emergency responders, Craig was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division, along with the Crime Scene Unit, responded to the scene. After interviewing witnesses and reviewing security footage, authorities identified a suspect. The suspect was arrested early the following morning at their residence by Frisco SWAT without incident.

This incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Jerry Johnson of Denton.
